In one of the biggest leaks of email data ever discovered, security experts found a list of spam containing extraordinary passwords of 711 million for filtered email addresses.
To find out if your email address is in danger, you need to go to www.haveibeenpwned.com and check if you are one of 700 million unhappy people. The site is headed by computer security expert Troy Hunt, who was the first to have the mega-list discovered by security researcher Benkow. As you write on your website, this is the single largest dataset that has been loaded into Have I Been Pwned, because to put it into perspective, "it's almost an address for every man, woman and child in Europe ".
So if you see that your email is on the list, the solution is obvious: change your password. But it's not just for your mail, but also for any other website where you can have the same password. We know it's a bum in the ass to have to browse all web pages where you are registered, but computer security is just as important as the ordinary.
